10:00 - Main Street Chess Parade

The Parade's King (Karpov) and Queen (Polgar) will lead a group of scholastic teams, local area marching bands, and top US Women Grandmasters (Krush, Zatonskih, Goletiani) and Men Grandmasters (Shulman, Onischuk). All teams should be dressed with their chess team T-shirts.

11:00 - Opening ceremony downtown Lindsborg

11:30 - 12:15 Press-conference for Karpov and Polgar

11:30 - Round 2

12:30 - 1:00 Lunch

1:00 - Round 3

2:15 - Round 4

3:30 - Round 5

5:00 - Games 1 & 2 for Karpov - Polgar match

6:30 - Closing ceremony for the scholastic tournament

7:00 - Dinner with GM Karpov and GM Polgar as guest speakers

September 19

During the day (1:00 - 5:00 pm) 8 Grandmasters will be given Master classes for ALL kids who can attend (no extra charge)

1:00 - Games 3 & 4 for Karpov – Polgar match

4:00 - Games 5 & 6 for Karpov – Polgar match

6:00 - Closing ceremony for Karpov – Polgar match
