National High School Championship

April 19, 2007

The High School National Chess Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri was a blast. There were a few IMs and many FMs. I didn’t get a chance to watch their games, because when they were playing I was also playing my games in a different section. It was a great experience playing with older kids. It taught me to be more patient.

We also had a donor that donated a room for the students from Oklahoma. This made it easier to find Master Unruh and every one else after each game. Thank you to the donor. Also, thanks to the Hughes for getting lunch for us. So, that we didn’t have to rush out to get lunch before the next game.

I also want to thank Master Unruh for analyzing all of my games, even when he was busy and for all of his encouraging words after my game. It made me want to try even harder.

Having all of the Oklahoma players there made it so much fun that I wish it wasn’t over yet. I want to thank every one that made this such a great experience. Especially, Master Unruh for all of his time. See you all at the tournament!

                                Thanks again,
