OSCO is now using
Chess eXpress Ratings service for all
sections of all its tournaments. For individual player's
Chess Express ID number, rating and complete tournament history, click
HERE. The
Premier section is also dual rated with USCF (see next paragraph). Using Chess
eXpress Ratings it is no longer necessary to pay an extra membership fee to play
in OSCO tournaments, cutting the cost of a player's first tournament each year
by nearly half or more. This savings has taken on more importance in these
challenging economic times. The simplicity of the Chess eXpress Ratings system
also saves countless hours of volunteers time with a simple tournament rating
process and elimination of tracking and processing memberships. This will help
OSCO's recruitment and retention of tournament directors and organizers,
facilitating the continued growth of our mission to serve more of Oklahoma's
youth through chess.OSCO affiliate clubs are able to also conduct Chess eXpress
rated tournaments under the same terms. Please email
admin@okschess.org or call 918-342-4245
if you're interested in doing so.
For Premier section player's USCF ID number, membership
expiration date, ratings and complete tournament history, click
HERE. For all
players that earn the honor of playing in the Premier section at Grand Prix
events, OSCO provides a 1-year membership in the US Chess Federation, so no
membership expense is neseccary from any of our players. The USCF published
rating of an event's calendar month is used for tournament section and pairing
purposes, if the use of a higher current rating is not requested by the player.
Published ratings were captured from the current ratings in on tournament
history page in the first week of the prior month.
